Frequently Asked Questions

Our staff is dedicated to providing friendly, helpful service. If
you have a question that you do not find answered here, please
do not hesitate to contact us.

FAQDo I need a tee time?
While walk-on players are always welcome, tee times are strongly recommended in order to minimize any inconvenience that waiting to tee off may cause.

Do I have to have a
four-some?
No, a four-some is not required. However, there are busy times when the golf shop may pair groups of less than four players together. This helps to reduce the wait for players on the first tee as well as out on the golf course.

Do you allow five-somes?
Groups of more than four players must be approved by the professional staff. Keeping groups to four players or less improves the pace of play and helps to keep the golf course from running out of golf cars.

What is the expected pace of play?
Under normal circumstances, the expected pace of play on Wild Ridge Golf Course is four hours and 10 minutes for 18 holes. The expected pace of play at Mill Run Golf Course is under four hours for 18 holes and under two hours for nine holes. Examples of abnormal conditions include days when inclement weather may cause delays, wet conditions may cause golf car restrictions, or a special event are playing the golf course.

What is the rain check policy?
The management of Wild Ridge and Mill Run Golf Courses want players to receive value for the greens fees that are paid without having to worry about how the weather may change. This is Wisconsin after all, and the weather can change very quickly. If a player is unable to finish their round, we offer equivalent value of the remaining holes in the form of a rain check. For example:
  • If $30 was paid for 9 holes, and your round was stopped after 3 holes, the value of the rain check is $20.
  • If 6 holes were played, that rain check would have a value of $10. Both greens fees and golf car fees are eligible for rain checks.

Rain checks can be redeemed for greens fees, golf car fees, or golf shop merchandise. For the purpose of rain checks, twilight fees are considered 9 hole fees. No rain checks are offered for twilight to anyone that has played 9 holes or more.

Do you have a twilight golf offer?
Wild Ridge Golf Course does have a twilight special. Mill Run has a twilight special on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. Twilight is for as much golf as you can play until dark. Twilight starts at 4 PM in June, July, and August and at 3 PM during the spring and fall months. Refer to our rates page for details.

Is there a practice range?
Wild Ridge and Mill Run Golf Courses have practice facilities that include a driving range with nine target greens, three practice greens, and a practice bunker. There is no charge to use the practice greens or practice bunkers with your own equipment.

What are the hours of the driving range?
The driving range is open daily, weather permitting, for the following hours:
  • Monday and Thursday 9 AM to sunset
  • Sunday and Wednesday 7 AM to 6:30 PM
  • Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 7 AM to sunset

Do I need a set of golf clubs?
Each golfer must have golf clubs. If you do not own a set, rental sets are available at a rate of $10 for 18 holes and $7 for 9 holes. Rental golf clubs do not include golf balls.

What are the golf shop hours?
Both golf shops are open throughout the golf season. During the peak months, the shops open at 7 AM and close at 7 PM. Hours may vary during inclement weather. View more information about the ProShop.

Do you offer demo equipment?
We do offer demo golf clubs. In addition to demo golf clubs, we also provide custom fitting services for equipment. Contact a member of our professional staff for details on demo clubs or to schedule a fitting session.
